All ‘Blue Riband’ Instructors/Assessors are trained to the highest level and have been ratified by The B.M.F.R.T.S. Blue Riband National Co-ordinator and training staff. The BMF Blue Riband Advanced Rider's Award is 10 hours or two days of hard work, make no bones about this award, the certificate is not given away.

Our BMF advanced instructors will guide you through the course to improve your riding skills to allow you to obtain this very special riding award.

However, prior to attending the course it is necessary to have at least read through a copy of Motorcycle ‘Roadcraft’, this just allows some of the terms your instructor may use will not sound to alien to you on your first day. nevertheless, you will still need to refer to this manual at home at the end of each day to refer to areas that you have been taught.

The course is quite intensive and will take place at a good rate of knotts and we advise you that you and your machine 'Must' be capable of coping with both the speed and distances involved during your training. You should also be familiar with your machine, as some of the techniques may be new to you and you should have held a full motorcycle licence, for at least 6 months and have an appropriate level of experience.

RoadcraftOn completion you will also receive a written assessment, containing advice on the subject areas of forward planning, positioning on bends, following, overtaking, hazard awareness and judgment, observations, use of The System, use of speed and any other comments.

We hope you will agree that you are unlikely to find a better training opportunity, with better-qualified instructors. Our instructors are dedicated to helping you improve your riding skills.

You can take up to four weeks to practice what you have been taught before returning to undergo your final assessment ride to obtain the ‘Blue Riband’ award, however, some riders are that good, that they pass with out any further pre-test training.

The certificate is for valid for three years; So if you fancy the Blue Riband award click here to contact us or call us today to book your training.
